MANSFIELD SPRING BROOK CEMETERY COMPLETED PROJECTS
ROADWAYS - Street signs installed on 2/3 of the intersections
CHAPEL – Roof tightened up and broken slates replaced
CHAPEL – Brickwork and granite steps pointed and sealed
CHAPEL – Shed entry to basement repaired and painted
CHAPEL – Ceiling and walls repaired and painted along with vestibule ceiling
CHAPEL – Floor sanded and refinished
CHAPEL – Added two new sconces to the walls and a light in the vestibule
CHAPEL - Basement Windows have been removed and replace and Plexiglas added
CHAPEL - New Plexiglas added to large Spring Street Stained Glass Window
ROADWAYS – Repaved intersection of Morse Ave., Cross Ave. and Hewitt Cir.
ROADWAYS – Two manholes raised to road level on Greenwood Avenue
TREES- Eight trees removed along easterly property line – Expense shared with neighbors
TREES – Two dead trees removed
WATER SYSTEM - Spigots upgraded and attached to new Stanchions and water buckets attached
CHAPEL - Carpet Runner has been installed
CHAPEL - Chairs in the apse area have now been re-upholstered
SPRING STREET ENTRANCE - The Spring Street Entrance was repaved to do away with the large puddle that occurred after every rain storm. Also the intersection of Greenwood Avenue and Pleasant Avenue was repaved.
RULES & REGULATIONS - Finalized and Approved
COLUMBARIUM - A 24-niche Columbarium has been added on Morse Avenue
ENTRY GATES - the chain link entrance gates at either end of Greenwood Avenue have been removed
SIGNS - Rules and Regulation signs have been fabricated and are awaiting installation
GRAVESTONE RESTORATION - Gravestone restoration is underway and will continue as monies become available. We have had the only slate stone in the Cemetery repaired.
CHAPEL BASEMENT WINDOWS - The five Chapel cellar windows are now an place and protected by Plexiglas
STAINED GLASS WINDOW - the stained glass window on the Spring Street side has had its Plexiglass protective cover replaced.
SPRING STREET FENCE - A new black aluminum fence was erected on the Spring Street frontage in honor of Joel Marks.
SOUTHERLY GATE POSTS - Our new southerly gate posts with engravings will allow people to know who and where we are.
